Which cereals and since when ?

Wheat, rice and corn represent about 80 % the world total cereal production.

The secondary cereals are : sorghum, mill, barley, rye, oats, fonio, eleusine, teff.

Wheat is mainly cultivated in Europe, Asia, and North America, rice in Asia, corn in America and Asia, mill and sorghum in Asia and Africa.

Man has been cropping cereals right from the beginning of agriculture. From their original place of domestication, the different cereals have been distributed all around the world.
